1. The service
Tamze Money is a personal-finance app for tracking budgets and subscriptions and splitting bills with others.
Tamze Money does not move money. The bill-splitting feature only records who owes whom. Marking a share as “settled” is a personal bookkeeping note, not a payment. No funds are transferred through Tamze Money. Any actual repayment between you and others happens outside the App, by whatever method you arrange. Tamze Money is not a bank, payment processor, money transmitter, or financial institution.
2. Not financial advice
Tamze Money is a tool for organizing your own numbers. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting, investment, or legal advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for any decisions you make based on it.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to use Tamze Money and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Your account
Tamze Money requires an account. You can register with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. We do not store passwords in plain text. Tell us at dave@tamze.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose or to record unlawful transactions; attempt to break, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems; use the App to harass, defraud, or harm others; or resell or commercially exploit the App without our permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or violate these Terms.
6. Tamze Premium (subscriptions)
Tamze Money may offer a paid Premium subscription. Premium is billed through your app store (Google Play), under that store’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time in your app store account settings, and access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by the app store according to its policies; we generally cannot issue store refunds directly. We may change Premium features or pricing going forward; changes will not affect a billing period you have already paid for.
7. Intellectual property
The Tamze name, logo, fox character, app design, and software are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not give you any ownership of them. The data and content you enter remains yours; you grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and sync it to provide the App.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tamze and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or money owed between you and people you split bills with. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tamze and its operator from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
11. Termination
You may stop using Tamze Money and delete your account at any time (Settings › Your data). We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved in the courts located in the Republic of Korea, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
13. Google Play terms
If you obtained the App from Google Play, you agree to comply with the Google Play Terms of Service. To the extent these Terms conflict with the Google Play terms, the Google Play terms govern your acquisition and use of the App.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the App evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you in the App. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
